Changes in legislation and the growing requirements of our clients and employees mean that we are constantly reviewing our corporate model. In keeping with our values, the Green IT strategy offered by SPIE Communications to its clients is a natural component of the Sustainable Development policy implemented by the SPIE Group.

SPIE Communications provides its employees and clients with unified communication offerings: telephony on IP (ToIP), messaging, presence management, unique number, communication portal, instant messaging, etc.

By designing appropriate, energy-saving solutions, SPIE Communications promotes communication and collaboration between people, thereby helping to protect the environment.

In addition to performance criteria, electricity consumption criteria are also taken into account when choosing the proposed solutions (electricity consumption, analysis of equipment power supply, optimisation of backup media, etc.). Cutting energy costs is a key factor in selection of the solution used.

Compliance with WEEE (waste electric and electronic equipment) and RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances) directives on electric and electronic waste comes as standard with all the equipment we offer.

By rationalising our workforce's travel arrangements and enabling our clients to limit their own travel, our videoconferencing services help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Thanks to our mobility solutions, users on the move can access their workplace anywhere any time (intranet, messaging, shared files, telephony, etc.) and thus significantly cut down journeys to and from offices/meeting venues.

Our innovative remote services offering (managed services, hosted services and user assistance) enables us to deliver optimal service quality while minimising environmental impact: remote incident management, pooling of infrastructures, etc.

SPIE Communications actively campaigns for disabled workers. To give an example, the two Ile de France Operational Business Units are working in partnership with the Jean-Pierre Timbaud Centre, taking part in "maintenance simulation" days and integrating trainees from the centre.
