SPIE Nucléaire obtains a multitechnical contract with EDF CIPN

EDF CIPN - France's Marseille-based engineering centre for operating nuclear power plants - has entrusted SPIE Nucléaire with a multitechnical contract for piping and ventilation, in the context of a project to improve the integrity of fuel buildings at nuclear power plants in service, for EDF's 900 MW and 1,300 MW plant series.
The contract, worth a total of €5.6 million, comprises engineering studies and installation work which will be carried out between 2007 and 2012.
Teams from SPIE Nucléaire will work on 48 EDF nuclear plant units in order to make the modifications aimed at improving the safe operation of fuel buildings.
