  European industries are increasingly seeking to recycle their waste. In the Netherlands, for example, the steelmaker Corus contracted SPIE to carry out an ambitious environmental project to replace a 275 tonne, 90 metre-long gas pipe with a solution enabling energy to be produced from the gases collected at the end of the pipe.
