Commercial sector electrical engineering - The City of Paris awards a contract to SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest

The City of Paris is converting the site of its former municipal funeral department, classified as a historic building, into a cultural centre (with cinema, music, dancing and audiovisual facilities) covering a total area of 25,000 sq.m.

For this project, it has entrusted a consortium, comprising consortium leader SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest and Cegelec, with the performance of the high and low-voltage work lots.

The project is worth a total of €6 million, €3.1 million of which will go to SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest.

The work, which will be performed by the commercial sector electrical engineering department, includes the following:

  • For high-voltage installations:
    • 1 HV supply substation,
    • two substations with two 1,600 KVa transformers and LV distribution switchboard,
    • power supply for high power draw equipment,
    • divisional switchboards,
    • safety lighting and miscellaneous small equipment items;
  • For low-voltage installations:
    • VDI prewiring,
    • sound systems,
    • safety,
    • fire detection and PABX.

 

The work is to be completed within 12 months for scheduled delivery in March 2008.
