Double success for SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest with Eurotunnel

Channel tunnel operator Eurotunnel has awarded two contracts worth a total of nearly €2.5 million to the Nord-Ouest Regional Office of SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest.
The first of these contracts is for the construction of a 25 kV single-pole substation in order to adapt the "Miss France" substation and reinforce overhead contact lines. The €560,000 contract, representing two months' design work and seven months' implementation, will be performed by teams from the Energy Department.
The aim of the second contract is to improve the safety of shuttles (34 single-deck and 34 double-deck) by renovating the cabling and cableways under the shuttles. This €1.93 million contract will keep a team from the Industrie Littoral Nord Department busy for two and a half years.
