Nuclear branch - Order for ventilation systems from FBFC Romans

2007/05/14

AREVA NP* has recently awarded SPIE Nucléaire a new €1 million order for work at its FBFC plant (Franco Belge de Fabrication du Combustible) at Romans sur Isère. The contract covers three projects:

  • process ventilation for a new "R6" grinding machine,
  • general and process ventilation for the granulation line,
  • bringing into compliance of general ventilation systems in the AP2 shop.

The plant at Romans produces uranium oxide powder and pellets, fuel nozzles, fuel rods and assemblies for pressurised water reactor power plants.

This constitutes a new customer reference for our teams in the process ventilation field and represents no less than 6,000 hours for installation work and 600 hours for commissioning and industrial tests.
