SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest contributes to the conversion of Rothschild Hospital

Located at the heart of Paris's 12th arrondissement, Rothschild Hospital which caters for the needs of east Paris is currently undergoing a major transformation to focus its activities on follow-up care and re-education.

The hospital authority, Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris, has chosen a consortium led by SPIE Ile-de-France to equip the 32,500 sq. m. of new hospital buildings with high and low-voltage systems and generating sets.

The services to be provided by the Major Projects commercial sector electrical contracting department concern the following installations:

- High-voltage installations:

  • a supply substation,
  • two 2,000 KVA transformers,
  • two 1,400 KVA generating sets,
  • a standard/replacement main switchboard, one generating sets switchboard, one safety switchboard, one HQ switchboard,
  • two 20 KVA UPSs,
  • two 3000 A busways,
  • 169 secondary distribution panels, 310 room boxes, 310 lighting control panels,
  • 5,700 lighting appliances, 311 bed-head wireways, 460 feeders, 5,300 switching and connection devices, 720 self-contained emergency lighting units with addressable control system,
  • lighting and overvoltage protection.

- Low-voltage installations:

  • fire safety system,
  • telephony system,
  • multimedia wiring system,
  • public address system,
  • television distribution system,
  • security system activated by access control, intruder detection, video surveillance and interphone installations,
  • patient call system, centralised technical management system.

The contract, worth €7.25 million to SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest, is to be completed within 26 months.
