Périgueux hospital is being modernised to "cope with the challenges of tomorrow".
New buildings with 24,000 m² of floor space are to be built, and a further 4,000 m² restructured.
SPIE Sud-Ouest, which is leading a consortium with Forclum for this project, has recently begun work on the high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
The services being provided notably include the following installation work:
This work is scheduled to be carried out in three phases - Mother and Child Centre (combining the maternity and paediatric units), Intensive Care and Outpatients - concluding in late 2010.
The contract is worth a total of €6.5 million, of which 52% is allocated for SPIE Sud-Ouest's Aquitaine Regional Office.
