SPIE Sud-Ouest involved in modernising the hospital complex in Périgueux

Périgueux hospital is being modernised to "cope with the challenges of tomorrow".
New buildings with 24,000 m² of floor space are to be built, and a further 4,000 m² restructured.
SPIE Sud-Ouest, which is leading a consortium with Forclum for this project, has recently begun work on the high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
The services being provided notably include the following installation work:
- High-voltage electricity: restructuring and extending the HV network, creating the high-voltage and transformer substations for the new building, installing the main distribution board and backup board, installing various power supplies, High Quality power supplies, supplying, installing and connecting the interior and exterior lighting appliances and installing the earth network and equipotential links,
- Low-voltage electricity: fire safety network, data and telephone network precabling, cordless telephone network, television distribution network, patient call system, centralised technical management, intercom system, access control, etc.
This work is scheduled to be carried out in three phases - Mother and Child Centre (combining the maternity and paediatric units), Intensive Care and Outpatients - concluding in late 2010.
The contract is worth a total of €6.5 million, of which 52% is allocated for SPIE Sud-Ouest's Aquitaine Regional Office.
