The Regional Council of Reunion Island has awarded the contract to install high- and low-voltage electrical equipment in underground engineering structures along the Tamarins Road(*) currently under construction in the western part of the island, between Saint-Paul and L'Etang Salé, to a consortium formed by Cenergi, SPIE Sud-Est, Bourbon Lumière and Enfrasys.
This contract concerns three structures:
In particular, the following equipment is to be installed in these structures:
The necessary IT development and platform-based testing work is being conducted in mainland France by SPIE Sud-Est's transport and IT systems operational department (ARI). Project and site management services are being provided by the local contractor, Cenergi.
This contract is worth a total of €6.5 million, of which €1.162 million is for work carried out be SPIE Sud-Est.
The project began in May 2008, and is scheduled to run for 17 months.
(*) The Tamarins Road is the largest construction project currently underway on Reunion Island. The 33 km route through semi-mountainous terrain features numerous engineering structures including viaducts, bridges and tunnels.
