SIPECT at the heart of housing for Angers

2008/01/18

SIPECT, a subsidiary of SPIE Ouest-Centre, has recently secured a handsome contract with the "Angers Habitat" public housing department concerning 135 low-rent dwellings at Résidence Le Gouz 1 and 2, east of Angers.

This contract covers the installation of general electrical systems and the heating, ventilation and sanitation systems for this council housing estate consisting of eight small blocks of flats.

The production of all the estate's sanitary hot water will be catered for by 235 sq. m. of solar panels with back-up provided by three condensation type boilers. All the dwellings will be heated by a 1,900 kW communal boiler room. This project is therefore perfectly in line with the imperatives of sustainable development and energy saving.

The contract is worth €2.6 million and work is to be completed within 24 months as from April.
