SPIE announces the finalisation of the acquisition of the Juret group by its subsidiary SPIE Ouest-Centre, on Thursday July 31st, upon completing the process of notifying the competition authorities.
The company founded by Paul Juret in 1919 in Segré (in the Maine-et-Loire department) was the subject of an employee buyout (EBO) in 1991, thereafter being owned by more than three hundred shareholders, the majority of whom were also company employees.
Juret built its business in the Bretagne (Britanny) and Pays de la Loire regions, specialising in electrical installation, HVAC, networks and automation. The group operates in the commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors, and has been involved in major projects in the region, including the Zénith entertainment centre in Nantes, the EADS Technocampus, the Ruban Bleu business park in Saint-Nazaire, the new headquarters of Afone in Angers, and the Terra Botanica Nature Park, also in Angers. The Juret group generates annual sales of around €75 million and has almost 600 employees working at 10 locations across western France.
This acquisition is in keeping with SPIE's French and European growth strategy. "Taking over Juret, which is well-established in its home region, strengthens our market position in western France and delivers an excellent geographical fit with our existing business. This deal brings us closer to our customers and underlines our determination to grow our company." explains Jean-Louis Voillot, Managing Director of SPIE Ouest-Centre.
