SPIE Ouest-Centre has announced its acquisition of electrical, wiring and network contractor Elcare SAS, which was finalised on August 31.
Founded in 1994, at Saint-Pavace near Le Mans, Elcare covers the fields of fixed telephony (which represents 70% of its business) and general electrical installation work (30%). The firm has an excellent brand image, especially with France Telecom, a customer that entrust its with subscriber connection work. It achieved sales of €3.7 million in 2009 and employs 53 people.
This acquisition will enable SPIE Ouest-Centre to develop its business activities on fixed telephony network, especially with the France Telecom group.
"Elcare works in very specific fields providing services, including maintenance, to end customers," explains Philippe Guidicelli, CEO of SPIE Ouest-Centre. "These business fields, which are not covered by SPIE Ouest-Centre, are of paramount importance for our positioning in the deployment and maintenance of fixed telephone networks and, especially, for the FTTH (Fibre To The Home) markets."'
