SPIE Ouest-Centre wins a major maintenance contract at Total's Donges refinery

SPIE Ouest-Centre wins a major maintenance contract at Total's Donges refinery.

Total Raffinage Marketing has entrusted SPIE Ouest-Centre with the maintenance of the southern zone of the Donges refinery in Loire-Atlantique. It is the second biggest refinery in France in terms of capacity.

The contract covers the electrical, instrumentation and lighting systems for some of the production units, the product storage and handling area and wharfs.

This contract, for six years as from 1 September 2010, is worth a fixed sum of one million euros a year.
A team of 12 to 20 employees from the Loire Océan general electrical contracting office's maintenance department and the Donges works centre will be mobilised on site to make sure the operations are carried out successfully.

The safety of personnel and installations are of paramount importance in carrying out this contract, as the refinery is classified as a high-threshold SEVESO site. Total is committed to a progress plan to optimise its installations and the successful performance of the contract. And, for that purpose, it will be relying on the teams from SPIE Ouest-Centre.

The high quality of the work done by teams from the Donges work centre for this customer over a number of years and the experience that the SPIE Group has acquired in its work at the refineries in Feyzin (Rhône) and La Méde (Bouches-du-Rhône) helped secure this deal. This important new contract for SPIE Ouest-Centre reflects SPIE's desire to develop its partnership with the Total group.
