SPIE strengthens its position in the housing sector
Following its acquisition of UPELEC in 2008, SPIE has now taken over PLUS ELEC.
PLUS ELEC, a company based in Lieusaint (Seine-et-Marne), is specialised in high and low voltage electrical installation work for housing development projects in the Ile-de-France region.
Its customers, who are mostly real estate developers, are complementary to the clientele served by UPELEC which tend to be general contractors.
The business brought in by PLUS ELEC which has 49 employees and generates sales worth €7 million will enable SPIE to consolidate its position and become one of the leading players in the new housing sector in Ile-de-France.
As a result, SPIE's portfolio of activities now includes a housing business unit of strategic importance worth some €20 million.
