Two SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest departments helps fit out Barclays Capital head office in Paris.
Barclays Capital investment bank is to move into the Origami office building in Avenue de Friedland, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. This building, belonging to property company Gecina and with a total area of 4,900 sq. m. on seven storeys, has been completely rebuilt.
The commercial sector electrical contracting department and the HVAC department have been asked by contractor ISG Europe to fit out the office areas.
The work to be done includes:
- connecting a network to the Climespace installation for the supply of chilled water to air conditioning units for computer rooms,
- installing a refrigerating unit on level -4 for supply to emergency air conditioning units,
- refitting of water pipes and air ducts on the seven floors of offices, including computer rooms,
- installing a new main low-voltage switchboard and modifying the existing one,
- adding a 800 kVa transformer upstream of new HV cubicles,
- adding three 160 kVa inverters,
- installing power distribution cabinets on the various floors,
- distribution of substations and earth systems,
- fire safety system (Novec gas extinguishing installation of computer room and water mist extinguishing for the generator set).
This contract, which is worth €1.12 million for the HVAC department (DET) and €1.24 million for commercial sector electrical contracting department (DGK), is to be completed by the end of 2010.
