Local authorities

Through our projects to preserve and enhance heritage sites, reduce energy consumption and provide new services to users, SPIE has a long history of supporting local authorities wishing to implement environmentally-responsible urban planning and development policies.
Urban regeneration programmes and transport & communication management projects are among the activities aimed at creating environmentally-friendly urban surroundings in which people can enjoy a high quality of life.

• Manage the implementation of local, regional and urban policies

• SPIE at the Salon des Maires

  More than 800 visitors attend the SPIE stand at the 2009 edition of the "Salon des Maires et des Collectivités locales de Paris", an exhibition for mayors and local authorities devoted mainly to energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable development for municipalities. Three councils won free diagnostic energy audits in a prize draw organised by SPIE.
