Saint-Denis, February 14th, 2018 – Unibail-Rodamco, Europe’s leading commercial property company, has just entrusted SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest with the complete renewal of electrical installations as part of the extension and renovation work on the 60,000 m2 of office space at the Guynemer site in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

The Guynemer site, consisting of two buildings for commercial use, with a total surface area of 60,000 m2, has been undergoing work since last summer to extend and completely restructure it so as to accommodate new businesses in optimum conditions by 2020. Selected by Unibail-Rodamco, the SPIE Group (through its subsidiary, SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest) and Spie Batignolles* Group (through its Spie Batignolles Energie subsidiary) have just been awarded the contract on renewing the electrical installations. Overall value of the contract: €7.6 million.

SPIE will be responsible for 65% of the “high current” electrical installations, including new transformer stations, the main low-voltage switchboard, low-voltage network and office equipment. Spie Batignolles will be responsible for the premises’ low current electrical installations (security, access control, video surveillance and fire safety system) and for 35% of the high current work, resulting in a 50% share of business volume for each group. Around fifty members of staff will be deployed on the site, half of whom will be from SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest. Work is scheduled to start in April 2018 and go on for 24 months.

This contract highlights SPIE’s expertise and positions us as a standard-setter in the Ile-de-France region”, says Eric Doutaud, Ile-de-France Major Projects Operations Director at SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest.

*Spie Batignolles, a construction company, was a subsidiary of the SPIE Group until 2003 when it was sold to its senior management. The SPIE Group and Spie Batignolles Group are therefore two distinct, separate businesses, with only a rich history in common.
