SPIE Nucléaire was awarded a contract for the maintenance of the electrical distribution systems at the CEA facilities in Marcoule (France), including the Phénix plant. Valued at €8 million, the contract will span over a period of three years beginning January 1, 2011 (plus an optional two-year extension).
SPIE Nucléaire will deliver preventive and corrective maintenance for:
- Electricial distribution equipment: control cabinets, low-voltage panels, high-voltage cells and transformers
- Power sources: inverters, rectifiers, chargers and batteries
- Lighting and power outlets
Also included in the service contract are technical and document management, technical support for operators, support from a certified body and on-call support available within the hour. Depending on the maintenance programmes, a team of 12 to 15 employees will work on this contract. With this activity, SPIE Nucléaire is strengthening its position at the Marcoule site.
