Maintenance and inspection of a floating oil treatment, storage and export unit

In October 2005, SPIE Oil & Gas Services was awarded a 5 year Maintenance & Inspection contract for the Dalia FPSO. The contract will span from 2011 to 2016.

Operated by Total E&P Angola, the Dalia field is located off the coast of Angola at a depth of 1,500 m. The FPSO is anchored at a depth of 1,300 m. It can process 240,000 barrels of crude oil per day and has a storage capacity of 2 million barrels.

SPIE Oil & Gas Services are responsible for maintenance work on the FPSO. Approximately 90 people will work offshore and 8 onshore. Maintenance work will concern electricity, instrumentation, mechanical parts, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, the control system and safety equipment. In addition, SPIE Oil & Gas Services will maintain the turbine and provide condition-based maintenance.

For logistics and administrative tasks, SPIE Oil & Gas Services will rely on 4 employees from its satellite in Luanda (Angola).
