  The French telecommunications operator SFR chose SPIE to engineer and deploy compact GSM base stations (known as nanoBTS stations) in commercial buildings to enhance cell phone coverage for mobile working solutions. Deploying this technology required a combination of expertise in radio-telephony engineering and IP network interconnections.
