SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has announced the acquisition of Ad Bouman BV, a key player in the Dutch retail installation market. Following the recent acquisition of the Aaftink group of companies, this acquisition allows SPIE to gain immediately a leading position in the Dutch retail market.

Ad Bouman BV (‘Bouman’), established in 1980, focuses on non-food retail spaces, where it provides a broad range of installation services, including electro-technical work, heating systems, air conditioning, climate control and security. The company provides turnkey installation to a high quality and diverse customer base of national and international retailers. Bouman employs 22 people and generates annual revenue of approximately 5 million euros.

Lei Ummels, Managing Director of SPIE Nederland, declared: “Bouman, like Aaftink, is a niche player with a reputation for delivering quality within tight deadlines, to a loyal customer base made of national and international retail chains. These two acquisitions move SPIE straight into the top three in the Dutch retail installation market.”
