SPIE obtains once again a successful matrix certification of its management system for new companies

Eye-to-eye integration in practice

. In accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (quality management system), DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management system), OHSAS 18001:2007 (occupational health and safety management system) and DIN EN 50001:2011 (energy management system), the independent certification body TÜV NORD CERT has just confirmed the successful integration of the companies acquired in 2017.

. Markus Holzke, Managing Director of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa said: ‘SPIE has been pursuing a consistent growth strategy for many years. At the same time, we believe that it is important to not only implement existing processes in newly acquired companies, but to learn from each other, to jointly find the best possible processes for SPIE and to firmly anchor them as best practice solutions in the company.

Ratingen, September 19th, 2018 – The multi-technologies provider SPIE pursues a consistent growth strategy. With the acquisitions of SAG, Lück and PMS in 2017, SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa has become a second solid pillar of the SPIE Group and generates almost a third of the overall turnover with more than 14,500 employees. To maintain the consistently high quality standards of the company, SPIE relies on the implementation of uniform management processes across all segments when integrating newly-acquired companies. The management system is based on best-practice approaches which have been implemented as standard processes – so-called internal control standards – in all operational divisions of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa and thus ensure optimised and uniform processes. Implementation of and compliance with these standards is regularly verified by the independent certification body TÜV NORD CERT. The recently renewed matrix certification by TÜV NORD CERT confirms the successful integration of the companies acquired in 2017.

Integration – Eye to eye

Integration processes at SPIE are decisively determined by the ONE SPIE approach, which core is the successful further development of the company as a collaborative endeavour: the eye-to-eye approach. This is also true at process level. From this perspective, an essential factor of success is to integrate newly added divisions as early as possible and to identify them in ‘best practice’ integration workshops. ‘SPIE has been pursuing a consistent growth strategy for many years. At the same time, we believe that it is important to not only implement existing processes in newly acquired companies – but to learn from each other, to jointly find the best possible processes for SPIE and to firmly anchor them as best practice solutions in the company,’ explains Markus Holzke, Managing Director of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa.

Uniform business processes

In the past months, we have adapted and expanded our management system based on the results of the integration workshops and have enriched it through the best-practice processes of the newly acquired companies,’ confirms Marc Kämper, Management Officer at SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa. ‘At the same time, we strive to standardise all relevant business processes that apply to all divisions and to continuously improve internal processes,’ he elaborates. This is confirmed by the successful matrix certification of TÜV NORD CERT in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (quality management system), DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management system), OHSAS 18001:2007 (occupational health and safety management system) and DIN EN 50001:2011 (energy management system).
