Cergy, 27 January 2014 – SPIE announces the appointment of Alfredo Zarowsky as Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development SPIE, with effect from 1st January 2014.
Alfredo Zarowsky graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Jerusalem (Israel). He has spent the majority of his career with the SPIE group, except for a period from 1980 to 1981, during which he worked as a consultant for Arthur Andersen in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
Alfredo Zarowsky joined SPIE in 1979 as an IT manager and was later named IT Director. In 1993, he became Head of the Operational Resources department. In 2001 he was appointed General Manager of SPIE Sud-Ouest, covering the Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon regions of France, as well as Morocco and Portugal. He was named Strategy and Development Director in 2007.
His new responsibilities include commercial development and marketing, service development, IT, purchasing and assets. In 2011, he joined the SPIE Board of Directors.
