Malakoff, 17 March 2016 - SPIE Communications, the SPIE group's digital services subsidiary, has announced the appointment of Antoine Bardel as Director of the Mediterranean Department in the Eastern business division. As such, he will be responsible for expanding SPIE Communications' presence in south-eastern France and building close relationships with companies and institutions in the region. Mr. Bardel will work alongside Cédric Périer, Director of the Eastern business division at SPIE Communications.
He will head up the 180 staff of the Mediterranean Department, spread across four local offices in Provence, Côte d’Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon and Corsica and will be in charge of creating synergies between the teams with a view to tackling the key digital technology issues facing the region, such as Smart city, e-health and e-education.

My aim in this role is to strengthen SPIE Communications' position as a high-performing local partner in controlling, defining and implementing digital services tailored to the market," says Antoine Bardel.
A graduate of the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Lyon, Antoine Bardel began his career at SPIE Communications as a systems architect. Over a ten-year career, he has worked successively as a Sales Engineer, Manager of the Public Sector Department and Manager of the Managed Services Department.
