Cergy, 18 November 2020 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, announces the appointment of Mr Michael Kessler as a director representing employees on the Board of Directors. Of German citizenship, Mr Michael Kessler was appointed by the Group’s European Works Council following a vote held on 10 November 2020. He becomes the second director representing employees following the amendment to the SPIE SA articles of association resulting from the enactment of the PACTE law. His term will last for the next four years.
After spending the first part of his career with FUJITSU and the Hochtief Group, Mr Michael Kessler joined SPIE in 2013 in the role of Chief Facility Manager within the Group’s German subsidiary. A member of the local works council, he has also been Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board at SPIE GmbH since 2018.
SPIE is delighted with the appointment of Mr Michaël Kessler to its Board of Directors, marking a new phase in the development of diversity within its corporate governance.
