SPIE Belgium has been named ‘Top Employer Belgium’ for the tenth time. The subsidiary of the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications has been rewarded for its ambitious policy in human resources management.
The certification of ‘Top Employer Belgium’ is awarded to companies which apply the highest criteria of excellence in terms of working conditions. These selection criteria are strict. In addition to salary and working conditions, training and career opportunities as well as the corporate culture are factors that are taken into consideration when awarding the certification.
Once again, this year, for the tenth time, SPIE Belgium has shown itself to have all the necessary assets to merit the ‘Top Employer’ certification. The independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications has, in fact, created an optimal HR environment, from which current employees and potential new employees all benefit. SPIE Belgium’s HR policy is distinguished not only for its talent-fostering strategies, workforce planning or performance and career management, but also for its excellent integration capacity and its targeted training programmes.
In 2016, the Human Resources department enjoyed major successes in this area. Jean-Pierre Martin, Human Resources Director at SPIE Belgium, stated, on this subject: “Over the past year, we have invested a great deal of effort with the entire HR department, and are today reaping the rewards. Amongst other initiatives, we have set up a CSR Committee (Corporate Social Responsibility). In this context, we have in particular collaborated with the Time4Society association* to organise social ‘team-building’ events. We have also placed emphasis on career development for our employees, to give everyone the opportunity to evolve within the company. We have made digitalisation a priority, providing our teams with computer tools to optimise their effectiveness. With regard to new colleagues, our integration passport continues to be a proven tool to facilitate their first few months in the company. ”
Johan Dekempe, Managing Director of SPIE Belgium, continues: “Once again this year, SPIE Belgium has established a cutting-edge HR environment. All year long, we have sought to optimise our staff’s working conditions. Furthermore, we have led the way in terms of staff development. In addition, we have attracted highly talented people to our ranks, and we are extremely proud of that. For SPIE Belgium, the title of ‘Top Employer’ we have won for a tenth year, is synonymous with pride and celebration. We would like to thank all those who have made this great achievement possible. It is to them that we owe the title. ”
