Electromobility solutions from SPIE

Everything from one source

Essen/Munich, Germany, October 4th, 2016 At EXPO REAL multi-technical service provider SPIE GmbH will be presenting an extensive solutions portfolio for electromobility. The technical requirements are created by subsidiary SPIE Hartmann GmbH, a company specializing in electrical engineering.

As a product-neutral system supplier, SPIE provides support for all phases of electromobility projects – from the planning of charging stations to the installation, operation and subsequent optimization. Additional options from the SPIE range of services, such as load management or the configuration and connection of efficient energy systems, are also possible under the ONE SPIE approach. Customers in industry, private commerce and local government will benefit from technical and organizational end-to-end concepts from one source.

One focus will lie on intelligently managed systems, another on the implementation of open interfaces such as Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP). The product range extends from simple single-point systems to large and complex charging stations for direct and alternating current (AC/DC).

The modular wallbox is the basic equipment for connection to electromobility. The equipment ranges from permanently connected charging cables with Type 1 or 2 connections to interlocking sockets for Type 2. The core element is an integral compact controller.

The charging columns are the centerpieces of the product lines and reflect the system diversity. With a double-walled fixed housing, the series of models allows a high degree of flexibility and safety in terms of design and technical utility. Follow-up costs are thus minimized. The inner casing has sufficient space for the installation of two separate charging points with extensive functionality. Each charging point is equipped with a Type 2 socket for Mode 3 charging and an optional protective earthing socket with contact monitoring. The maximum connected load for 230V-400V is 63A per charging point. A touch display of up to 15 inches or optionally a two-line display and card reader are available for control. The triple charger rounds off the portfolio. This quick charging station for AC/DC charging with DC-CCS (Combined Charging System) and DC-CHAdeMO and the AC Type 2 charging socket permits simultaneous charging of two electric vehicles.
