Supporting greater gender diversity : Schoolgirls meet women employees at SPIE

Published on 15 January 2025

Faced with social and economic challenges, SPIE is actively engaged in promoting gender diversity in its technical professions.

In 2023, the Group stepped up its efforts to increase the number of women in key positions, raise awareness of stereotypes and attract female talent from an early age.

These initiatives include inspiring collaborations with associations such as Elles Bougent, aimed at inspiring vocations among secondary school girls.

It was in this context that SPIE CityNetworks, in conjunction with the Elles Bougent association, organised a number of visits to its offices and worksites to raise awareness of its activities among secondary school girls

In Cergy, students had the opportunity to talk to women working in technical professions at SPIE, including a network and systems engineer working in the urban video surveillance department. This initiative was a means of making professions that may be little-known more visible and appealing.
