Germany - SPIE Deutschland System Integration wins its biggest VoIP contract
Unified Communication (*) has awarded SPIE Deutschland System Integration a contract worth more than €1m for the installation of a voice over IP system for the Mannheimer insurance company. The integrated Cisco Contact Center that will be installed by SPIE will provide Mannheimer with a completely new communications solution equipped with over a thousand IP phones. Cisco Callmanager not only offers redundancy with the existing Enterprise Contact Center software but also represents a powerful unified communications system and is an attractive solution combining telephony with IT for Lotus Notes. An extremely functional tool for invoicing and analyses, the Cisco Callmanager system will be at the centre of the new communications installation. An extension designed for uninterrupted supply, based on SRST routers at branch offices, will provide Mannheimer with available resources required for the new voice over IP solution. The aim of IP telephony migration is to modernise and optimise the efficiency of this insurance company's procedures in order to guarantee its competitiveness and its commercial edge in the long term. During the integration phase, SPIE will connect the new communications system to an existing Siemens telephony system. Then, after conversion, this will completely replace the telephony system currently used at the head office and all the branches of this company, which is one of the biggest insurance firms in Germany. The hard work put in by our sales department and close co-operation with the manufacturer, Cisco, were key factors enabling SPIE to overcome competition from major companies (Siemens, T-Systems and Avaya) and secure this prestigious VoIP project.
