Cergy, 15 January 2014 – SPIE announces the appointment as of 1 January 2014 of Gilles Brazey as Chief Operating Officer for France. He will be in charge of all multi-tech business in France, together with SPIE's telecom business in France.
Reporting to Gauthier Louette, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SPIE, Gilles Brazey is responsible for the 5 French subsidiaries in regional multi-tech services (SPIE Ouest-Centre, SPIE Est, SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest, SPIE Sud-Est and SPIE Sud-Ouest), for SPIE Communications, a subsidiary of SPIE specialized in information technologies, and for the Department of TELECOM Services Activities created in January 2013 for steering service to French Telecom companies.
Graduated from ESTP (Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics, du Bâtiment et de l’industrie) in 1982 and ISG (Institut supérieur de Gestion) in 1983, Gilles Brazey joined the Group in 1995 as Agency Manager and subsequently Director of the STEPE subsidiary. In 2002, he moved up to the position of Director of Commercial Strategy and Development at SPIE Sud-Est. In 2003, he went on to become the Val-de-Seine Regional Director of SPIE Ile-de-France Nord-Ouest. He was further promoted in 2005 to the position of Director of the Electrical Services Division. Since 2008, he has been acting as Managing Director of SPIE Communications.
