The first large-scale positive energy office complex in France.
Delivered in July 2011 by Bouygues Immobilier (project manager), the building has a 1,550-person capacity and consumes 30% less energy than the most efficient HQE® buildings on the market, in addition, it emits 400 fewer tonnes of CO2 per year. This performance helped the building obtain three certifications: HQE® (high environmental performance) for commercial buildings, French standard for tertiary-sector buildings (low-energy consumption) and BREEAM-Excellent Europe in 2008.
SPIE Île-de-France Nord-Ouest’s HVAC Systems Department was awarded this €5-million contract. The project did not include air conditioning, but the subsidiary handled the following installations:
- Energy production through biomass cogeneration (3 cogeneration units with a central control system)
- Soundproofing along the ceiling along with heating mats and lights
- Ceiling ventilators to improve air quality in office areas
- Ventilation networks and air treatment facilities
These cutting-edge installations help the building produce more energy than it consumes.
