Breda, The Netherlands, 12 September 2016 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has launched the implementation of its maintenance plan for the building-related installations of all Heineken wholesalers, its three breweries and its soft drinks factory. Following an extensive tendering process, the Dutch multinational chose the professionalism of SPIE, whose nationwide presence allows to serve a client like Heineken.
The contract includes preventative and corrective maintenance as well as the operational management of all Heineken’s building-related installations in the Netherlands. Among other things, SPIE will carry out maintenance on the central heating boilers, refrigeration units, air treatment systems, emergency lighting and electrical doors at the locations of all Heineken wholesalers in the Netherlands, the breweries in Zoeterwoude and Den Bosch, the Brand brewery in Wijlre (South Limburg) and the soft drinks factory in Bunnik.
René van Luijn, SPIE Business Unit Manager, is pleased that Heineken is confident in SPIE as a maintenance partner: “They trust that we can make good on our proposal. The initial contract is for three years, but both parties are aiming for a longer-term collaborative partnership.”
A central team has now started with the implementation, which will be carried out in phases. The maintenance contract takes effect as of 1 January 2017.
