Interclima+elec 2012: SPIE showcases its “Energy Efficiency” services offering
Paris, 6 February 2012 – Energy-specific renovation of buildings, energy efficiency services, Green IT solutions: SPIE is providing two conferences at the Interclima exhibition to highlight its building energy optimisation solutions.
“Energy efficiency-related renovation of buildings: energy performance contracts for social housing”
Conference on Tuesday February 7, from 4 pm to 4.45 pm - Pavillon 7.2: “Exhibitor workshops” (Ateliers Exposants)
The ICF group, housing subsidiary French railway company SNCF, has entrusted SPIE with energy efficiency-related work for its pilot project for 64 homes in Schiltigheim, Alsace. Through this Energy Performance Contract (EPC) supervised under the auspices of the European FRESH(1) project, SPIE undertakes to cut the total energy consumption of dwellings by 47% subject to penalties covering a significant portion of any excessive energy consumption. This is the first third-party funded EPC to be signed in the social housing sector in France. It is also the first time that the supplementary amount added to rents, i.e. the portion of its investment that social housing operators can recover from tenants in accordance with France's MOLLE(2) law, will be fully guaranteed by a company. What is more, it is also the first EPC entailing major works on a building to be signed specifically implementing IPMVP(3) measurement and verification procedures, which are the only way building owners can guarantee, when the contract is signed, that undertakings on energy performance will be complied with. “Maintenance, energy efficiency and Green IT: moving towards comprehensive control of buildings”
Conference on Thursday,9 February, from 1 pm to 1.45 pm - Pavillon 7.2: “Exhibitor workshops” (Ateliers Exposants)
Being independent of major energy and building companies, SPIE is able to offer comprehensive solutions specifically engineered to meet each customers' special requirements, from preparing administrative and financial setups to integrating equipment and optimising maintenance. This conference will provide insight into SPIE's range of energy efficiency services aimed at optimising the overall energy performance of buildings throughout their life cycle. SPIE will also offer the chance to install lighting systems in line with the SPIE Green IT offering targeting smart buildings. (1) FRESH: Financing Refurbishment Energy for Social Housing
