2 December 2020 – Air France has awarded the contract for the Facilities Management of 8 sites, spread across the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly platforms, to a consortium made up of Atalian Facilities, the major operator in the services sector and part of the Atalian Group, and SPIE Facilities, a French subsidiary of the SPIE Group, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications. The contract is for a maximum of 5 years and the lead contractor for the consortium is Atalian Facilities.
The French airline has selected this complementary duo of pure-players in the Facility Management sector to provide and manage support and technical services at 8 sites, made up of 5 tertiary sites and 3 industrial sites.
The consortium will provide a wide variety of services at these sites: cleaning, multi-technical, reception, security, waste management and guest services.
“We have been successfully delivering FM services to Air France at their head office in Roissy since 2014. We are pleased to be given the chance to provide even more support to a company like Air France”, explained Philippe Léonard, CEO of Atalian Facilities.
“The benefit of this partnership will be, for Air France, having perfect control over outsourced services. At least 95% of services will be managed internally by our consortium”.
Atalian Facilities will lead the overall FM contract for Air France and will be in charge of Soft FM services at all the sites, along with technical operations for the 5 tertiary sites. SPIE Facilities will be in charge of the FM Contract at the 3 industrial sites and also the whole of the technical side at these 3 sites.
“The basic added value of our product is in its extreme flexibility and the ability to adapt our services to the exact needs of Air France”, said Eric Lefiot, in charge of overall management of this exceptional contract.
On a day-to-day basis, near a thousand staff will be mobilised on site for this assignment.
To manage the 1 million square metres of floor space, the teams will have to rely on innovative digital solutions.
“We are going to be relying on our expertise, our unified digital solution SMART FM 360°, Lean Management methods and our know-how in energy efficiency to deliver a bespoke service and achieve the targets set by Air France”, added Cyril Pouet, Managing Director of SPIE Facilities.
SPIE Facilities stands out for its commitment and its ambitious proposals to reduce the carbon footprint of Air France’s industrial sites. “We have committed ourselves to energy efficiency targets on a particularly large scale given that the efficiency contract covers all 3 industrial sites, with a combined floor area of 640,000 m2”, said Olivier Daval, Energy Efficiency Manager at SPIE Facilities.
“In order to optimise energy use on this scale, our challenge will be to get a real handle on two key elements: thermal load across all the buildings and determining the precise way in which each building is being used”, he added.
