Frankfurt, June 28th, 2018 – Commerzbank tasks SPIE with the continued technical facility management for a central location of Commerzbank in Frankfurt. With a pioneering concept and an experienced team, SPIE was once again able to prevail over its competitors in a new invitation to tender for all of the bank’s properties. Commerzbank thus reconfirmed its confidence in SPIE’s performance and technical expertise. The multi-technology services provider has managed the demanding building complex since it was built in 2001, ensuring the availability of all technical systems. The contract takes effect on October 1st, 2018 and shall remain in force for a further six years and three months.

Reliable management for the challenging building complex since 2001

Over a total floor area of 105,000 m2, the service centre houses 700 work stations, a printing centre, one of the largest trading floors in Europe and the computing centre. SPIE looks after the complex property’s building control system, building services and the heating and air conditioning systems, and also ensures an uninterruptible power supply, as well as emergency power and cooling systems.

Due to the great variety and complexity of the systems, the service centre is very challenging from a technical point of view. Unlike office buildings, which are comparatively easy to manage, here we offer daily proof of the high level of technical expertise with which we have been reliably managing the service centre for the past 17 years”, says Petra Knaudt, Key Account Manager at SPIE for Commerzbank in Frankfurt.

A highly experienced team and pioneering concept are decisive

An experienced team of 35 employees ensures reliable system availability round the clock, every day of the year. To reliably guarantee the technical processes in the building complex, at least two employees are always on site to immediately resolve any problems that may occur. “Knowledge of the systems is a top priority. That is why all of our employees receive intensive training for a year before they start working in the shifts”, explains Timo Vogtmann, head of the Nord-Main SPIE’s branch office in Frankfurt.

We have guaranteed full system availability since the building was constructed. We are proud and delighted that Commerzbank have once again expressed their trust in us and that we can continue to provide the technical facility management for the Frankfurt service centre. We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with our long-standing customer in this technically very demanding building complex”, says Petra Knaudt.
