Pau, May 16th, 2018 – GEMCO, the turbomachine maintenance and redesign specialist (steam and gas turbines, compressors, pumps, etc.), a subsidiary of SPIE Oil & Gas Services since 2007, has changed its name and is now SPIE Turbomachinery.
SPIE Turbomachinery, based at Lons, near Pau, develops innovative solutions aimed at extending and enhancing the service life of rotating machines. Inside the 4 500 m2 of workshops, 70 highly skilled and dedicated professionals have been providing their clients with a flexible, operational service, combining quality and technical savoir faire, for over 30 years (more than 3,000 turbines overhauled).
With true partnership spirit, SPIE Turbomachinery offers services with high added value to clients in different sectors of activity, such as energy production, petroleum, chemicals, paper mills, sugar refineries, and incineration in France and abroad (Côte d’Ivoire, Congo, Angola, Senegal, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and so on).
This name change is an opportunity for SPIE Turbomachinery to highlight its membership of the SPIE group and its commitment to its values of top-level performance, community involvement and responsibility. SPIE Turbomachinery is thus confirming its undertaking to comply with the highest hygiene, health, safety and environmental (SHEQ) standards.
