SPIE acknowledges the judgment rendered by the Paris Criminal Court relating to allegations of bribery of a public official in Indonesia, in connection with a dispute involving a former employee of the Group’s Oil & Gas operations, whose dismissal occurred more than ten years ago. At first instance, the Paris Criminal Court imposed a fine of 1.5 million euros to each of SPIE Global Services Energy and SPIE Operations, two subsidiaries of the SPIE Group.
SPIE categorically contests the alleged facts and intends to appeal this decision.
The Group has fully cooperated with the judicial authorities throughout the proceedings and reiterates its unwavering commitment to the highest ethical standards in the conduct of its business activities.
