Karen Luzignant appointed Business Director of SPIE Industrie's Est Business Unit

Cergy, 6 May 2024 – SPIE Industrie, a French subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has announced the appointment of Karen Luzignant to the position of Business Director of SPIE Industrie's Est Business Unit. Karen Luzignant therefore joins the Executive Committee of the entity, chaired by Frédéric Toussaint, Managing Director of SPIE Industrie.

SPIE Industrie's Est Business Unit employs 1000 people across around twenty sites in eastern France. This regional presence allows the teams from the Est Business Unit to provide local support to its customers as they navigate the challenges posed by the digital and energy transition. The long-standing presence of the pharmaceutical and automotive industries in this region make these key business areas for the Est Business Unit.

Having graduated from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Lyon, Karen Luzignant, 47, began her career in 2001 with an end-of-course internship at SPIE ICS, a French digital services company, where she worked as an IT architect. In 2011, she was appointed Department Director, before taking over as Business Director of SPIE ICS' Grand Est Business Unit in 2017.

Armed with more than two decades of experience at SPIE ICS, Karen Luzignant will now be able to apply her IT expertise to the industrial sector, where it is essential that we rise to the challenges posed by responsible digital transformation.
