Published on 18 October 2023

Breda, 18 October 2023 SPIE Nederland, the Dutch subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, and MCS, a specialist in private networks, have intensified their cooperation in the field of private LTE  and 5G. The two companies will work together to provide organizations with secure and sustainable private LTE and 5G solutions for mission- and mission-critical processes.

For many years, SPIE and MCS have successfully implemented and delivered private networks to various clients in different sectors, including healthcare, government and industry. These two partners are now joining forces to provide advanced communication solutions that meet the highest standards of reliability, security and flexibility.

This collaboration allows SPIE to further expand its comprehensive services, offering end-to-end solutions for Internet of Things (IoT), mobile connectivity and security systems. For MCS, this partnership represents a significant step forward in extending their reach as a private network expert.
The core of this collaboration is based on a shared vision about the impact of IoT innovations. Both want to directly contribute to an efficient, safe and sustainable "connected world”. SPIE and MCS will combine their specialized knowledge and industry experience to serve organizations even more effectively and support them in the implementation of advanced technologies that demand the highest standards of reliability, security and flexibility.

High-Quality Data Communication
Wireless networks play a crucial role in essential business processes. While these networks were previously used for mobile communication only, private LTE now offers the ability to unlock data through the network. This enables organizations to benefit from smart sensors, healthcare apps and modern work environments.
It is crucial that these business-critical processes take place within a protected and secure network. A private LTE network meets these strict requirements and is also scalable and future-ready (5G-ready). With a private LTE network, SPIE and MCS offer an all-in-one solution for the communication and connectivity needs of organizations, without the influence of external sources of interference.

Cooperation leads to success
Marc Vekemans, Business Unit Manager pLTE at MCS, emphasizes the importance of this collaboration: "We are excited to extend this intensive partnership with SPIE to private networks, starting with private LTE and in the future with private 5G or a hybrid form. By sharing our knowledge and operational support on private networks, this allows SPIE, as a system integrator, to also bring this to the attention of its clients."

John Besamusca, Business Unit Manager within SPIE's ICT Division adds, "In order to continue providing reliable, long-term services to our customers and clients, we need strategic, innovative and reliable partners. MCS is one such partner, and we are pleased to be able to combine our knowledge, experience and innovative strength in the field of Private Mobile Networking in this strategic partnership to operate even more effectively in this market."

The intensified collaboration between SPIE and MCS marks an important milestone in their joint commitment to providing advanced, secure and sustainable communication solutions for organizations in a variety of industries.
