Ratingen, 1 October 2024 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, is reorganising its operating structure and announcing the renaming of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa as SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria.
The SPIE Group is adapting its operating structure to the company’s strong growth. Tier 1 units SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa and SPIE Switzerland will become SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria and SPIE Central Europe. SPIE Central Europe serves the markets in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria is driving business and growth in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Germany has the potential to become SPIE’s largest market
“The importance of SPIE in Germany has grown steadily within the SPIE Group over the past eleven years measured in terms of its revenue and profit contribution and employee headcount. Going forward, we see plenty of potential for further growth in the German market and we are adapting our structures to facilitate it,” explained Gauthier Louette, Chairman & CEO of the SPIE Group.
SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa’s growth strategy was launched in 2013. “In just eleven years, Markus Holzke and his management team have developed SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa very successfully and have grown the business significantly. After three platform acquisitions and 30 bolt-on acquisitions, SPIE has evolved into the leading multi-technical service provider in Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, and its workforce has expanded from 300 to almost 23,000 employees. That’s a fantastic achievement. I am fully confident that the management team will continue to follow this roadmap to success and develop Germany into SPIE’s biggest market,” commented Gauthier Louette.
The company will be renamed on 1 October 2024
On 1 October 2024, SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa GmbH will be renamed as SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria GmbH. This company will be the lead company for all subsidiaries operating in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, including entities with representative offices for customers in other countries according to the “follow the customer” principle.
