The Paul Scherrer Institute has chosen SPIE to implement and operate its new telephone platform

Published on 02 June 2022

Zurich, 2 June 2022 SPIE Switzerland, the Swiss subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, is rolling out its new unified communications solution for the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen. The contract includes the implementation, configuration and operation of the solution based on services provided by SPIE cello:collab Managed Services.

The Paul Scherrer Institute is the largest research centre for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. Its current telephone system uses DECT  telephones.

Support for this technology will no longer be available in the future, so a replacement was needed. A call for tenders was issued to find a service provider and supplier of a new telephone platform for the Paul Scherrer Institute.

SPIE's solution, cello:collab Managed Services, based on its own managed services, is a Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solution. For more information, please see the website: https://www.spie.ch/fr/offre/it-services/cellosuite/cello-collab/

The project began in early April and will continue until June 2023.
