Sophie Macquet appointed SPIE Purchasing Director

Cergy, 16 October 2020 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has announced the appointment of Sophie Macquet as Group Purchasing Director. This appointment has been effective since 1 July 2020.

After graduating from SKEMA Business School and gaining an Executive MBA from HEC, Sophie Macquet joined the Renault Group in 2000. Following a range of responsibilities in operational and strategic marketing both in France and abroad, she took up the role of Head of the “Diversity and Social Business” department in Renault’s CSR division in 2008.

In 2011, Sophie Macquet joined the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance Purchasing Organization (APO). She held the roles of Global After-Sales Purchasing Director, then Renault Maroc Purchasing Director in 2016, before being appointed APO Transformation Director and a member of its Executive Committee in 2019.

In her new role as SPIE Purchasing Director, effective as of 1 July 2020, Sophie Macquet will report to Pablo Ibáñez, Group Director of Operational Support.

“The two main challenges I face in my new functions will be to support the SPIE roadmap in assisting customers in their energy and digital transition and to enhance the financial and non-financial value created in partnership with our suppliers,” says Sophie Macquet. “For this mission, I will be consolidating our supplier relationships, in particular through a new digital purchasing platform, strengthening our CSR requirements in the supply chain and suggesting innovative solutions for developing our services.”
