Market position strengthening in Central Europe and expansion of competences in the area of fire protection, security and building technology solutions.
Essen, September 1st, 2016 – On August 31th, 2016, following the approval by the local antitrust authorities, SPIE GmbH, a fully-owned subsidiary of the SPIE group, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has finalized the acquisition of AGIS Fire and Security Group (“AGIS”) from a privately-held company owned by Sebastien Kiekert Le Moult. With this acquisition, SPIE strengthens its geographical footprint mainly in Poland and Hungary, thus further growing its “Germany and Central Europe” segment.
Headquartered in Warsaw, AGIS has been active in its markets for about 40 years and provides all services from consultancy, conception and design, through to installation and servicing of fire protection, security and building technology solutions mainly in Poland and Hungary. With about 200 employees, AGIS generated total revenues of 28 million Euros in fiscal year 2015.
