Munich, 4 November 2021 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, and Siemens Real Estate are renewing their successful cooperation: The multi-technical service provider will predominantly be responsible for technical facility management in the technology group’s properties for the next five years and, together with Siemens Real Estate, will advance its digital transformation with efficient and innovative solutions.
Successful cooperation for over 17 years
SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa has been ensuring that Siemens Real Estate’s properties operate smoothly since 2004. “The successful partnership with Siemens has continued to grow. At SPIE we are proud to be assisting Siemens Real Estate along its path towards a climate-neutral future with our technical and digital solutions,” says Rainer Hollang, Managing Director/COO of SPIE GmbH and General Manager of the Efficient Facilities operation division at SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa. “Our focus is always on our customer’s satisfaction – whether in developing solutions for digitalisation and energy efficiency or in occupational health and safety. Siemens and SPIE both have very high expectations and strive for technical excellence. We also apply this to the health and safety of our employees. We therefore jointly set high safety standards in our cooperation and systematically work towards achieving our goal of zero accidents.”
SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa manages most Siemens Real Estate locations throughout Germany. 950 SPIE employees are responsible for operational management, property management, maintenance and warranty tracking, energy management and controlling of infrastructural building management at the Siemens locations. In addition, they provide operational fire brigades, operate control centres and take responsibility for conference room management and lock-up services. “We are very proud that the contract has been renewed again, and of the trust that Siemens Real Estate has had in us for many years. We will continue to support Siemens Real Estate with our high-quality and efficient solutions,” says Stefan Schusterschitz, General Manager of the Key Account Siemens business unit within the Efficient Facilities operational division.
Innovation wanted
Siemens Real Estate relies on forward-looking partnerships. SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa is therefore also committed to enhancing the technology group’s innovation by developing efficient, digital and state-of-the-art facility management solutions. “Looking to the future is one of our top priorities. We therefore offer our partners the chance to be awarded another renewal while their contract is ongoing through innovation projects” said Fabian Telke, Head of Contracting and Services at Siemens Real Estate Hub Germany. “We included this clause in our new master agreement with SPIE as well, and we firmly expect to see exciting innovations working together with SPIE. In our cooperation over the last few years, SPIE has always impressed us with its high quality and solution-oriented approach.”
SPIE is continuously developing new applications in the field of digital transformation with its partners and customers. “For example, in order to better meet our customer’s requirements and to improve our cooperation, we have developed an intelligent data analysis platform to analyse and present FM data just for Siemens,” said Stefan Schusterschitz.
“Thanks to the intelligent linking and analysis of existing data from facility management, we can more efficiently detect correlations and deviations in our operating processes. This allows us to react to events promptly, map services transparently and ensure the best possible quality of service for our customers. The insights gained provide also our customers with a basis for reasoned business decisions. Thus, our FM-Analytics tool can help to guarantee efficient building operations, for example by optimising the availability and utilisation of technical facilities based on the data” explains Andreas Queißer, project manager for digital transformation in the Key Account Siemens business unit.
