SPIE Belgium, the Belgian subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, is proud to have been certified as a 'Top Employer' for the sixteenth time and to see its many actions in terms of recruitment, integration of new employees and well-being in the workplace rewarded once again.
SPIE Belgium has attracted over 250 new talents to its ranks in 2022 and is looking for 260 profiles in 2023.
On Tuesday 17 January, SPIE Belgium was awarded Top Employer 2023 certification at the virtual celebration organised by the Top Employers Institute, the international certification body that recognises excellence in corporate human resources management practices. To celebrate the certification of the new Top Employers 2023 winners, a series of physical events are being organised in several cities around the world. In Brussels, this one will take place on 19 January at Bozar.
In 2022, SPIE Belgium performed particularly well in the following three areas:
-
Recruiting new employees: in 2022, SPIE Belgium attracted more than 250 new talents to its ranks, an increase of 22% over the previous year. In 2023, no fewer than 260 new employees are expected to be recruited in Belgium.
-
Integration of new employees: even more than in previous years, SPIE Belgium has taken several initiatives to ensure that new recruits are integrated in a way that makes them feel good about working for SPIE, and that they want to stay. After a two-year hiatus due to the health crisis, SPIE Belgium was once again able to organise its Discover SPIE induction day, which has multiple objectives: it is an opportunity to learn more about SPIE Belgium as a company and its organisation, to talk to members of the management committee, to meet colleagues from other departments, and above all, to forge links.
-
Well-being at work: SPIE Belgium offers a high degree of autonomy to its employees, something that new recruits particularly appreciate according to the interviews conducted after 100 days with the company.
In addition, in 2022, a half-day awareness-raising session was organised for management teams to prevent the risk of burn-out.
Annik Vandeputte, HR Development Manager at SPIE Belgium: "We are delighted to have achieved this certification for the sixteenth time. In 2023, we will of course continue to build on this success. I can already tell you that we are looking for 260 new profiles for our Belgian subsidiary and, as it is present in all four corners of Belgium, the new employees will be able to work every day in a pleasant working environment! The year 2023 will also see the launch of our brand new Employer Branding campaign. A bold, surprising and very "SPIE" campaign that we are looking forward to unveiling in the coming weeks on our networks."
Created more than 30 years ago, the Top Employers Institute is an international certification body that distinguishes the excellence of working conditions offered by employers to their employees. Since its inception, the Top Employers Institute has awarded more than 1,800 organisations in 123 countries/regions. Certified Top Employers have a positive impact on the lives of more than 8,000,000 employees worldwide.
