SPIE expands charging infrastructure in Austria for Electra

Graz, Austria, 23 July 2026 – SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, is expanding the charging infrastructure in Austria for its customer Electra. These projects are making an important contribution to implementing Austria’s Mobility Master Plan 2030, which provides for the further development of the country’s charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Electra is a European provider of high-speed charging stations. SPIE is responsible for the technical planning of high-performance charging infrastructure solutions for Electra, as well as the installation of centralised energy and systems technology – including transformers, electrical distribution equipment and battery storage systems. SPIE is also carrying out installation work, laying cables and wiring as well as commissioning and completing the required documentation. SPIE is installing charging stations for Electra at around 10 locations across Austria.

In 2025 alone, SPIE installed more than 750 new charging points at over 100 locations in Austria, significantly driving forward the expansion of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including for Electra.
