Warszawa, 24 June 2025 - SPIE Stangl Technik sp. z o.o. and Elektromontaż Poznań S.A., two Polish subsidiaries of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, have completed a project to install mechanical and electrical systems at the new Daikin factory in Ksawerów, Poland
The 110,000-square-meters facility consists of several buildings, including a production hall, a warehouse and a two-storey office building. The investor in the project is heat pump manufacturer Daikin Manufacturing Poland sp. z o.o., and the general contractor is Takenaka Europe GmbH sp. z o.o.
Two Polish companies from the SPIE group were involved in the project.
SPIE Stangl Technik was responsible for the supply and comprehensive installation of mechanical and sanitary equipment. A team of about 160 qualified fitters and nine supervisors ensured the various stages of implementation ran smoothly.
The scope of Elektromontaż Poznań S.A.'s activities focused on electrical work. Both internal and external installations were carried out. These tasks were delivered by a team of about 120 qualified fitters and 5 supervisors.
„The entire process required a high degree of flexibility, precise planning, and efficient communication between teams. Work proceeded in accordance with technical and safety requirements, and the contract was completed on schedule. In the future, we plan to share knowledge more widely within the Group. This will enable us to offer an extensive range of services, even for highly demanding and extensive projects. Joining forces in this way provides tangible benefits for investors, as it allows us to achieve synergies” says Łukasz Nowiński, CEO SPIE Polska.
Details of the work conducted by SPIE Stangl Technik
One of the project's particular challenges was the installation of medium-pressure gas equipment, as well as PN100 and PN320 helium units, R32 and R290 refrigerants, and nitrogen and oxygen. This work was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive and was overseen by the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT). Several tests were carried out as part of the contract, including visual, penetration and radiographic tests of welds..
"One interesting and original feature of the facility is its heating and cooling system. It consists of six outdoor air source heat pumps that supply the evaporators of two water heat pumps to generate a total of 3.6 MW of power (using water with a glycol mixture at a temperature of +40°C). In winter, when the outside temperature is below +5°C, they act as a lower source for the water heat pumps located inside the building," explains Marcin Balcerczak from SPIE Stangl Technik.
The contract covered a wide range of work, including the supply and installation of the following complete systems for:
- ventilation and air conditioning,
- heating and cooling,
- hot and cold water,
- sanitary sewage,
- industrial gases and natural gas,
- compressed air,
- automation along with a BMS - Building Management System.

The scope of work included both interior and exterior electrical installations. For the exterior, this included:
- installation of a power supply by MV cable line,
- preparation of telecommunications and high-voltage cabling
- laying of strong current cables to supply power to equipment in the field,
- realisation of site lighting installation.
The MV power supply for Transformer Stations was also carried out.
„The scope of work was extensive and included internal installations. This included grounding and lightning protection installation, implementation of an equipotential bonding grid and laying of cable routes for power and teletechnical installations, along with the laying of cables for technological installations."– says Contract Manager – Sławomir Ksoń from Elektromontaż Poznań.
