SPIE responds to growing market demand for medium voltage in the Netherlands

Published on 21 September 2020

Eindhoven, September 21, 2020 SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the field of energy and communications, continues to expand its medium voltage market. Now that the responsibility for electrical installations for industrial companies has shifted to individual companies themselves, they are investing in their own medium voltage installation. SPIE takes care of the entire installation process.

With the years of experience and expertise of SPIE as one of the Netherlands' largest high and low voltage suppliers, this medium voltage fits perfectly into the portfolio. One of SPIE's core values is 'Proximity', wich means, close to the customers and employees and close to the core values of the customers. Due to the growing demand in the region, it was decided to expand the network.

Geert Vlasblom, Business Unit Manager at SPIE explains: “The construction, maintenance and management of these medium voltage installations can now be fully outsourced to SPIE. We manage this in a responsible and safe manner for our customers, we handle the entire process. I noticed that we often already offered medium voltage to customers, so I wanted to include this in our portfolio. I look forward to launching this service on the market and enabling SPIE to grow autonomously. The fact that SPIE is taking this on says something about the level of confidence in the future.

Large companies that require a lot of energy use these medium voltage installations. Hospitals, factories, business parks, workshops or large infrastructure projects must be provided with a continuous energy supply. SPIE can respond quickly due to the local presence of employees with the right qualifications, tools and expertise.

SPIE earned its stripes in the field of high and low voltage. A new business unit is now being set up at SPIE for Electrical and Instrumentation, focused entirely on medium voltage. With locations in Eindhoven, Terneuzen, Roosendaal, Hoogezand, Schiedam and Elsloo, among others, national coverage is created. With this portfolio expansion, SPIE is broadening its market, customer base and region in the field of E&I and medium voltage.
