SPIE selected as ‘Top Employer’ in Belgium for the 12th time

SPIE sets itself apart with its recruitment and new-starter integration procedures and its endeavours in terms of employer branding and continuous training
 

Brussels, 31st January 2019 – SPIE Belgium, a subsidiary of the SPIE group, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has been named ‘Top Employer Belgium’ for the twelfth time. It owes this accolade to four areas of work pursued in 2018.

On 31 January 2019, SPIE Belgium received the official Top Employer 2019 accreditation and joined the 64 companies accredited by the Top Employers Institute in Belgium.

To access this limited group, companies must successfully negotiate the stages of the accreditation program. Only those employers that create the ideal conditions for their employees to develop, both professionally and personally, can contend for this accolade.

Those conditions include a high-quality working environment, development of talent at all levels of the company and constant improvement of human resources practices.

For the twelfth time, SPIE Belgium successfully met the Top Employers Institute’s strict selection criteria. Of all the aspects of its human resources policy on which the company is rated, this year, SPIE wanted to emphasise four areas of work:

  • development of the employer branding, in particular on social networks and at events such as the Jobdays
  • rigorous recruitment procedures: involving operational employees in the selection process, considering technical skills, personality and motivation, etc. when selecting candidates
  • continuous training via a S.M.I.L.E. e-learning platform accessible 24/7
  • integration of new employees into SPIE with an interactive welcome brochure available on the S.M.I.L.E. platform

Annik Vandeputte, HR Development Manager at SPIE Belgium, had this to say on this subject: “At SPIE, we are extremely proud to be part of the Top Employers family in Belgium.
