From 22 to 25 September 2026, SPIE will participate in WindEnergy Hamburg, one of the world’s leading events for the wind energy industry, bringing together developers, operators, manufacturers, policymakers and technology providers from around the globe.
At this year’s event, several SPIE subsidiaries will come together on a shared stand to showcase their complementary expertise and demonstrate the Group’s ability to support customers throughout the lifecycle of their energy projects.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet teams from SPIE SAG, SPIE Wind, SPIE Wind Connect, SPIE Industrie and SPIE Wind Services. Together, they demonstrate SPIE’s ability to combine specialised expertise and local resources to address the evolving challenges of renewable power generation, energy storage, and electricity transmission and distribution.
Expertise Across the Entire Wind Energy Value Chain
Drawing on a broad range of technical capabilities and an international footprint, SPIE supports the development of wind energy infrastructure from the earliest planning stages through to long-term operation. Its expertise spans foundations and support structures, wind turbines, electrical infrastructure, substations, and grid connections.
Once wind farms are operational, SPIE continues to support customers with maintenance, inspection, modernisation, and technical support services designed to optimise performance and maximise asset availability throughout the lifetime of the installations.
Offshore Wind: Specialist Expertise for Offshore Projects
SPIE also brings extensive experience in the offshore wind sector. Its specialist teams deliver a wide range of services covering high-voltage systems, subsea cables, grid connections, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. These capabilities help customers deliver and operate offshore wind projects safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Battery Energy Storage: Supporting a More Flexible Energy System
As the share of renewable energy in the electricity mix continues to grow, battery energy storage systems (BESS) are playing an increasingly important role in providing grid stability and flexibility. SPIE supports customers in the deployment of these systems, from electrical infrastructure and installation through to grid integration, helping strengthen the resilience and adaptability of energy systems.
Transmission and Distribution: Connecting Renewable Energy to the Grid
The continued expansion of renewable energy requires significant investment in electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure. SPIE delivers solutions for high- and extra-high-voltage networks, substations, and grid connections, helping renewable electricity reach consumers safely and efficiently.
By connecting generation assets to the grid and supporting the infrastructure required for electrification, these solutions play a key role in accelerating the energy transition.
